About Us - Green Agro Health Initiative (GAHI)

Our Founding Preamble

We, the founding members of Green Agro Health Initiative (GAHI) a youth-led Community Based Organisation in Kenya committed to transforming agricultural waste into solutions for soil fertility and affordable alternative fuel source, combating antimicrobial resistance (AMR), fostering climate resilient farming, and empowering youth and women – do hereby adopt this Constitution.

GAHI shall serve as a voice in the community for responsible antimicrobial practices and sustainable agriculture, equipping young Africans with the knowledge and skills to address climate change, poverty reduction, and illiteracy through innovative, community-driven programs.

Organization Details

Name & Registration

Green Agro Health Initiative (GAHI) is registered as a community-based organization (CBO) under the Community Groups (Registration) Regulations, 2025 and complies with all relevant Kenyan laws.

Location

Our headquarters is located in Nairobi County, Kenya, with operations extending to farming communities across the country. GAHI may establish regional offices, project sites, or coordination centers as approved by the Board.

Our Founding Story

Born from Passion for Sustainable Agriculture

GAHI was founded by a group of passionate young Kenyans who recognized the interconnected challenges of agricultural waste management, antimicrobial resistance, and climate change in their communities.

Seeing the potential in transforming poultry waste from a pollutant into a resource for soil fertility and clean energy, the founders came together in 2025 to establish GAHI as a platform for youth-led innovation in sustainable agriculture.

Our approach combines traditional farming knowledge with modern scientific methods to create practical solutions that benefit both the environment and local communities. We believe that youth and women are key drivers of sustainable change, and we're committed to providing them with the tools and knowledge to lead climate action in their communities.
